Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply when you use the Starel Stones website, place an order online, request a quote, purchase in store, purchase through an invoice or otherwise buy goods or services from Starel Stones.

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you confirm that the details of your order are correct and that you agree to these terms.

Products and natural variation

Starel Stones supplies natural stone tiles, mosaics, slabs, XL slab tiles, vanity units, stone interior products, fixtures, accessories, fixing products and related goods.

Natural stone is formed by nature. Variation in colour, veining, markings, texture, surface movement and tone is normal and should be expected. Samples and photographs are provided as a guide only and may not exactly match the final goods supplied.

Where possible, we recommend ordering samples, visiting a showroom or viewing slabs in person before placing a larger order.

Product suitability

It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods you order are suitable for your intended use, installation environment, project conditions and design requirements.

Any guidance provided by our team is given in good faith and should not replace advice from a qualified installer, tiler, fabricator, architect, contractor or other professional who has inspected the site.

Measurements and quantities

You are responsible for checking measurements and ordering the correct quantity.

For tiles and stone products, we usually recommend allowing additional material for cuts, wastage, breakage, natural imperfections and future repairs. A common allowance is 10–15%, although bespoke, clearance and backorder items may require a higher allowance.

If you place a later top-up order, exact batch matching may not be possible.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the website, quote or invoice. Delivery costs, VAT and additional services may be shown separately where applicable.

Orders must be paid in full unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bespoke, custom, backorder, fabricated or special-order goods may require full payment before sourcing, production or fabrication begins.

Payment options may include debit/credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WooPayments and Novuna Finance where available and eligible.

Order acceptance

Your order is accepted when we confirm it in writing, process the order, issue an invoice, dispatch the goods or otherwise confirm acceptance.

We may refuse, cancel or refund an order where a product is unavailable, incorrectly priced, unsuitable for delivery, affected by a supplier issue, affected by a website error, or where we reasonably cannot fulfil the order.

Stock, backorders and lead times

In-stock items are typically delivered within 4–10 working days unless otherwise stated.

Backorder and made-to-order goods are usually produced or sourced specifically for your order and typically have a lead time of 6–12 weeks. Lead times are estimates and may be affected by production, supply, transport, customs or other circumstances outside our control.

Delivery

Delivery costs are charged in addition to the product price unless stated otherwise.

Most heavy orders are delivered by third-party kerbside pallet delivery. Deliveries are made to the nearest safe and accessible point. Delivery may involve large vehicles and pallet trucks, which require solid, level ground.

You must tell us before dispatch if there are access restrictions, unloading requirements, parking restrictions, narrow roads, steep slopes, steps, gravel, soft ground or other delivery issues.

A responsible person must be available to receive, supervise and sign for the delivery.

Slab orders and slab deliveries

Slabs are natural and unique. It is your responsibility to ensure that the slab selected is suitable for your intended use, colour preference, veining preference and project requirements.

We strongly recommend visiting the Slab Gallery to inspect slabs in person before purchase or delivery. If you cannot visit, you may request additional photographs or videos, but these remain a guide only.

Slab deliveries may require specialist handling, including A-frame delivery. If a crane, HIAB or other special delivery method is required, you must tell us before placing the order.

Bespoke, custom and fabricated goods

Bespoke, custom, cut-to-size, fabricated, special-order or made-to-order goods are produced or sourced to your requirements. Once production, sourcing or fabrication has begun, these orders may not be cancellable or returnable, except where required by law.

This may include custom tile production, vanity tops, splashbacks, kitchen tops, bath surrounds, architraves, door frames, customised vanity units and other made-to-order stone products.

Cancellations and returns

Your cancellation and return rights depend on the product type, whether you are buying as a consumer or business, whether the item is stock or bespoke, whether it has been dispatched, and whether it has been used, installed, cut or altered.

Approved cancellations, returns and refunds may be subject to a 35% restocking, handling and transaction fee, unless otherwise required by law.

Please read our Returns Policy before ordering.

Damaged, incorrect or missing goods

You must inspect goods at delivery or collection.

If goods are visibly damaged, incorrect or missing, this should be noted on the proof of delivery and reported to us as soon as possible, ideally on the day of delivery and within 48 hours. We may ask for photographs, videos and other evidence to assess the issue.

Do not install, cut, seal or use goods that you believe are damaged or incorrect without contacting us first.

Installation and fixing advice

Any installation, fixing, sealing or maintenance advice provided by Starel is general guidance only unless we have carried out a formal site survey and agreed a specific installation service in writing.

You should always seek advice from a qualified professional installer or fabricator before installation.

Finance

Finance options may be available on selected products and orders through Novuna Finance or another approved finance provider.

Finance is subject to eligibility, application, approval and the finance provider’s terms. Starel does not guarantee finance approval.
