The Ivory Limestone Honed Marble Dado Moulding is a shaped natural-stone finishing piece intended to give tiled walls a clearer, more considered endpoint. The current Starel product record lists it at 126 × 305 × 20mm with a honed finish. Its broader profile creates more visual presence than a slim pencil liner, making it useful for completing the top of a partially tiled wall, forming a decorative horizontal border or defining the edge of a feature section.

Its warm ivory-beige palette gives the moulding a softer architectural character than a strongly veined marble trim. It works best in calm interior schemes where the finishing detail should reinforce the natural-stone palette rather than introduce a contrasting material. Suitable applications include bathrooms, kitchens, cloakrooms and other interior wall layouts, although exact wet-area suitability should be confirmed before specifying it for a shower or wetroom. Starel’s broader Ivory Limestone tile range is listed for bathroom, floor, kitchen, wall and interior use, with sealing required.

For the closest material relationship, pair the moulding with the Ivory Limestone Tile Collection, available in honed, tumbled and brushed formats. The Ivory Limestone Pencil Liner Trim can provide a slimmer edge, divider or niche-framing detail elsewhere in the same scheme, while the Ivory Limestone Skirting continues the warm stone palette at the wall-to-floor junction. The Ivory Limestone Chopped Mosaic can also introduce a smaller-scale textural feature within a splashback or decorative panel. These products are all grouped within Starel’s current Ivory Limestone range.

Choose this exact moulding when the design needs a more substantial stone border than a pencil trim, while retaining the understated warmth of Ivory Limestone. As limestone is a natural material, variation in colour, tone, texture and fossil or mineral markings should be expected. Dry lay the moulding with the selected tiles before fixing so that this natural variation can be distributed thoughtfully. Sealing is required for the coordinating Ivory Limestone products, and routine care should use suitable pH-neutral, stone-safe products. The Ivory Limestone Honed Marble Dado Moulding is a shaped natural-stone trim designed to create a defined border or finishing point within a tiled wall.

The current product record lists a honed finish and 126 × 305 × 20mm dimensions, giving it a more substantial profile than the matching pencil liner. Use it with the Ivory Limestone Tile Collection to complete half-height tiling, frame feature sections or introduce a warm architectural detail, with coordinating skirting and pencil trim available for other junctions.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
