The Ivory Limestone Skirting is a honed natural limestone finishing piece designed to create a clean, coordinated transition between wall and floor. Measuring 305 × 126 × 20mm, it brings warm ivory and beige tones into the perimeter of a room while helping protect the lower wall. Use it with the Ivory Limestone Tile Collection in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways and other interior schemes, with matching pencil liner and dado moulding available for adjoining wall details.

The Ivory Limestone Skirting is a substantial honed limestone profile measuring 305 × 126 × 20mm, designed to finish the base of an interior wall and create a more resolved junction between wall and floor surfaces. It offers a stone-led alternative to painted wood skirting, helping protect the lower section of the wall while allowing the warm, neutral character of Ivory Limestone to continue around the room.

Its soft ivory and beige colouring makes this skirting particularly suitable for calm, natural interiors where the perimeter detail should support rather than compete with the main surface. The honed finish gives the stone a smooth, low-sheen appearance, making it well suited to bathrooms, kitchens, cloakrooms, hallways and other interior spaces where a coordinated natural-stone finish is required.

For the closest material relationship, pair it with the Ivory Limestone Tile Collection, which is available in several honed, brushed and tumbled formats for walls and floors. The Ivory Limestone Pencil Liner Trim can be used elsewhere in the same scheme for narrower edges, niche framing or dividing lines, while the Ivory Limestone Honed Dado Moulding provides a more pronounced decorative border higher on the wall. The Ivory Limestone Chopped Mosaic can also introduce a smaller-scale, more textural feature within a splashback, niche or decorative section.

Choose this exact skirting where the aim is to maintain a warm limestone palette through to the wall-to-floor junction rather than introduce an unrelated finishing material. As limestone is a natural stone, variation in colour, tone, texture and fossil or mineral markings should be expected. Dry lay the skirting with the selected tiles before fixing so that this variation can be distributed thoughtfully. Sealing is recommended, and ongoing care should use suitable pH-neutral, stone-safe products.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
