The Arabescato Viola Rosa Marble Dado Moulding is a shaped natural marble trim measuring 305 × 40 × 15mm, supplied with a honed finish. Its raised profile is designed to give a tiled wall a clear and considered endpoint, whether used as a decorative horizontal border, a transition between different tile formats or a finishing detail above a partially tiled surface.
This moulding works particularly well above half-height bathroom or cloakroom tiling, along kitchen splashbacks and around framed mosaic panels or other feature sections. Compared with a narrow pencil liner, its broader face and sculpted profile create stronger architectural definition, helping the trim become a visible part of the design rather than simply covering an exposed edge.
Arabescato Viola Rosa marble combines a light ground and soft pink tones with expressive burgundy and grey veining. The honed surface gives the stone a softer, low-sheen appearance while allowing its natural movement to remain prominent. Choose this exact moulding where the scheme calls for a decorative marble border with more presence, while retaining the distinctive colour palette of the wider Arabescato Viola Rosa range.
For the closest coordination, pair it with the Arabescato Viola Rosa Marble Tile Collection, available in honed square and rectangular formats. The Arabescato Viola Rosa Marble Pencil Liner Trim can be used elsewhere in the same layout for slimmer edges, dividers or niche framing, while the matching Arabescato Viola Rosa Marble Skirting provides a substantial finish at the wall-to-floor junction. Together, these products allow the main tiled surfaces and finishing details to share a consistent material character.
As Arabescato Viola Rosa is a natural marble, every piece will vary in colour, veining, tone and pattern. Dry lay the moulding with the selected tiles before fixing so that this variation can be distributed thoughtfully. Sealing is required, and ongoing cleaning should use suitable pH-neutral, stone-safe products. Cutting allowance is recommended for corners, cuts and minor fitting adjustments. Product dimensions, finish, selling unit and suitability are confirmed on the current product record.
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
