The Belgravia Marble Skirting is a honed natural marble profile measuring 305 × 126 × 20mm, designed to finish the base of a tiled wall with a more considered alternative to painted wood skirting. Its substantial format creates a clear wall-to-floor transition, helping the installation feel complete while continuing the colour and material character of the surrounding stone.
Belgravia marble has a warm cream and beige palette with soft white movement, making this skirting particularly suitable for calm, light-toned interiors. It works well in bathrooms, kitchens, cloakrooms, entrance areas and hallways, especially where a conventional skirting board would interrupt an otherwise stone-led scheme. The honed finish gives the surface a soft, low-sheen appearance that suits both contemporary and more traditional settings.
For the closest coordinated result, combine it with the Belgravia Marble Tile Collection, available in a choice of honed square, metro and rectangular formats. The shared material and finish allow the floor, wall and skirting detail to read as one connected scheme.
Belgravia mosaics can introduce a change of scale or pattern while retaining the same warm stone palette. Suitable Starel options include the Belgravia Marble Herringbone Mosaic, Large Basket Mosaic, Hexagon Mosaic, XL Hexagon Mosaic, Ivy Mosaic, Scallop Shell Mosaic and Flower Mosaic. The Belgravia and Pietra Celeste Octagon Midi Marble Mosaic offers a more contrasting pairing by combining warm Belgravia marble with soft blue stone.
Choose this exact product where the aim is to carry Belgravia marble beyond the main tiled surface and create a resolved architectural finish at the base of the wall. As marble is a natural material, colour, veining and tone will vary between pieces. Review and dry lay the skirting with the selected tiles before installation so the natural variation can be arranged thoughtfully. Sealing is required, and routine care should use pH-neutral, stone-safe products.
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
