The White Emperador Marble Tile Collection is a honed natural marble range for customers who want a light, warm stone surface with more softness and tonal depth than a flat white tile. Its natural variation gives walls and floors individual character while keeping the overall palette restrained enough to work alongside wood furniture, pale sanitaryware and contrasting stones.

The collection is available in six 10mm formats: 150 × 75mm, 305 × 75mm, 305 × 305mm, 406 × 406mm, 610 × 305mm and 610 × 405mm. This breadth allows White Emperador to move from detailed feature tiling to larger, calmer surfaces without changing material family.

What can you achieve with White Emperador marble tiles?

The range of formats gives you control over how visible the tile layout becomes within the finished room.

The 150 × 75mm and 305 × 75mm metro formats create more grout joints and a stronger linear rhythm, making them useful for splashbacks, shower walls, niches and smaller feature areas.

The 305 × 305mm and 406 × 406mm square formats produce a more balanced geometric grid and work particularly well across floors or broader wall sections. For larger surfaces, the 610 × 305mm and 610 × 405mm rectangles reduce the number of joints and give each tile more room to display the marble’s natural tonal movement.

Different formats can therefore be used across adjoining areas while maintaining one consistent stone direction.

Where does White Emperador work best?

The collection is suitable for interior walls and floors, including bathrooms and kitchens, and is compatible with underfloor heating.

In bathrooms, White Emperador can be used across floors, shower walls, bath surrounds and vanity backdrops. Its light, warm colouring works particularly well with oak and walnut vanity units, white sanitaryware and both warm and cooler metal finishes.

In kitchens, the collection can create a natural-stone floor or tiled wall surface and can provide a softer alternative to cooler white-and-grey marble.

White Emperador also works well in cloakrooms, hallways and living areas where the aim is to create a calm, material-led backdrop rather than a highly contrasting feature surface.

Why choose this exact marble tile collection?

White Emperador is particularly useful when the project calls for pale natural marble but with a warmer overall character than many classic white stones.

The six available formats are a major practical advantage. Smaller metro tiles can introduce detailed rhythm, while larger squares and rectangles create calmer expanses with fewer joints.

The honed finish keeps reflection comparatively restrained, allowing the marble’s colour, variation and natural movement to provide the visual interest.

Because White Emperador is natural marble, no two tiles will be identical. Tone, veining and pattern will vary throughout an order. Samples provide a useful guide to the general character but cannot represent every tile. Dry laying before fixing allows stronger and quieter pieces to be distributed across the finished surface in a considered way.

Which Starel Stones products complement White Emperador?

For smaller-scale pattern, the White Emperador collection includes a particularly wide choice of mosaics. Herringbone, Hexagon, Diamond, Clover, Fan Scallop, Kite, Bamboo Fluted and Mini mosaics can introduce a change in geometry or texture within niches, splashbacks, shower areas and feature sections while maintaining the same broader material palette.

For finishing details, the White Emperador Marble Pencil Liner Trim can provide a slim edge or dividing line. The White Emperador Marble Dado Moulding offers a more pronounced decorative transition, while White Emperador Marble Honed Skirting can complete the base of a tiled wall.

White Emperador also combines naturally with darker stone. Starel already pairs it with Black Emperador in the Savoy Frame Mosaic and with Amarone in the Madras Mosaic, giving both combinations a genuine product-led relationship rather than an arbitrary colour match.

Where larger bespoke stone surfaces are required, Starel also carries White Emperador marble slabs for suitable vanity tops, splashbacks, fireplaces, furniture and other fabricated pieces through Starel Atelier.

Before ordering and installation

White Emperador marble requires sealing. Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral cleaning products, and confirm installation requirements for the selected format and application.

Order a sample as a guide and dry lay the tiles before fixing. For floors and wet areas, assess the complete installation system, including substrate preparation, fixing, sealing and final finish.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
