The Calacatta Lilac Slim Skirting is a honed marble finishing piece designed to create a neat, understated transition between wall and floor. At 305 × 75 × 10mm, its reduced height and slim profile suit bathrooms, kitchens, cloakrooms and other interiors where a full-depth skirting would feel too prominent. Pair it with the Calacatta Lilac Marble Tile Collection for a coordinated finish, with matching pencil liner, dado moulding and mosaics available for adjoining edges and feature areas.
The Calacatta Lilac Slim Skirting is a honed natural marble profile measuring 305 × 75 × 10mm, designed to finish the base of a tiled wall with a lighter, less projecting alternative to a traditional marble skirting. It helps create a clean wall-to-floor transition, protects the lower edge of the wall and allows the material character of a Calacatta Lilac scheme to continue around the room without introducing painted wood or an unrelated trim.
Its soft white ground and delicate lilac-grey veining bring subtle movement to the perimeter of the space, while the honed finish keeps the surface refined and low sheen. The slimmer 75mm height makes this product particularly useful in bathrooms, cloakrooms, kitchens and compact interiors where a deeper skirting could visually dominate the layout. It can also suit contemporary schemes that call for a restrained architectural detail rather than a pronounced border.
For the closest coordination, pair it with the Calacatta Lilac Marble Tile Collection, available in honed metro, rectangular and square formats. The matching Calacatta Lilac Pencil Liner Trim can complete narrow edges, niches or dividing lines, while the Calacatta Lilac Marble Dado Moulding provides a stronger decorative border higher on the wall. Calacatta Lilac mosaics—including herringbone, hexagon, clover, basket, mini and square formats—can add pattern to splashbacks, shower features or recessed areas while maintaining the same overall stone palette.
Choose this exact skirting when the project needs the continuity of natural marble but in a shallower, more discreet format. As Calacatta Lilac is a natural stone, colour, veining and tone will vary between pieces. Review and dry lay the skirting with the selected tiles before fixing, seal it as part of the installation and maintain it with suitable pH-neutral, stone-safe products. Final cutting, positioning and suitability should be confirmed with an experienced natural-stone installer.
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
