The Diana Royale Marble Skirting is a substantial honed marble profile measuring 305 × 126 × 20mm and sold by the piece. Designed for the base of an interior wall, it creates a more resolved junction between wall and floor surfaces while helping protect the lower section of the wall from everyday knocks and cleaning. It is particularly useful in stone-led interiors where painted wood skirting would interrupt the continuity of the material palette.
Diana Royale marble is characterised by warm neutral beige and nutty tones, giving this skirting a softer, more understated appearance than strongly veined white or dark marbles. The honed finish keeps the surface low sheen and allows the natural tonal variation of the stone to remain part of the design. It works particularly well in bathrooms, kitchens, cloakrooms, entrance areas and hallways, where a warm marble perimeter can help the finished scheme feel more complete. The current Starel product data lists it for bathroom, floor, kitchen, wall and general interior applications.
For the closest coordination, pair the skirting with the Diana Royale Marble Tile Collection, available in several honed formats for walls and floors. Where the same project also requires finer finishing details, the Diana Royale Marble Pencil Trim can be used around exposed tile edges, niches or dividing lines, while the Diana Royale Marble Dado Moulding provides a more pronounced architectural border higher on the wall.
Decorative areas can also be developed with coordinating Diana Royale mosaics. Current Starel products include the Diana Royale Herringbone Mosaic Marble, Diana Royale Marble Slim Herringbone Mosaic, Diana Royale KitKat Mosaic Marble, Diana Royale Marble Cracked Mini Mosaic and Diana Royale Marble Cracked Stripe Fan Mosaic. These can introduce pattern and a change of scale within niches, splashbacks or feature sections while retaining the same warm material character.
Choose this exact skirting when the project needs a substantial 126mm-high marble perimeter detail that continues the Diana Royale palette through to the wall-to-floor junction. As Diana Royale is a natural marble, variation in colour, tone, veining and pattern should be expected from piece to piece. Dry lay the skirting with the selected tiles before fixing so that this variation can be arranged thoughtfully. Sealing is recommended, and ongoing care should use suitable pH-neutral, stone-safe products. Final cutting, positioning and installation should be confirmed for the specific project.
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
