The Pietra Celeste Marble Skirting is a substantial honed marble finishing piece measuring 305 × 126 × 20mm. Designed for the base of an interior wall, it creates a considered transition between wall and floor surfaces while helping protect the lower wall from everyday knocks and cleaning. It provides a stone-led alternative to painted wood skirting, allowing the material character of a tiled scheme to continue around the room.

Pietra Celeste marble has a deep grey to charcoal ground with fine, lighter veining. Its honed finish softens the surface sheen, giving the skirting a controlled architectural appearance that works particularly well in bathrooms, kitchens, cloakrooms, entrance areas and hallways. Choose this exact product where a darker marble perimeter will add definition without introducing a separate finishing material.

For the closest coordination, pair the skirting with the Pietra Celeste Marble Tile Collection, available in honed square, metro and rectangular formats. This allows floors, walls and perimeter details to share the same stone palette. The Pietra Celeste Marble Clover Mosaic or Pietra Celeste Marble Mini Mosaic can introduce a smaller-scale pattern within niches, splashbacks or feature sections. For a lighter contrast, the Belgravia and Pietra Celeste Octagon Midi Marble Mosaic combines Pietra Celeste with warmer Belgravia marble.

As Pietra Celeste is a natural marble, colour, veining, tone and movement will vary between pieces. Review and dry lay the skirting with the selected tiles or mosaics before fixing so that the variation can be arranged thoughtfully. Sealing is required, and routine care should use suitable pH-neutral, stone-safe products. Final cutting, positioning and installation should be confirmed with an experienced natural-stone installer.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
