Verde Green Marble Skirting is a 305 × 126 × 20 mm honed natural marble profile, sold per piece. It is designed to finish the base of an interior wall and create a defined transition at the wall-to-floor junction. Its shaped upper edge and substantial 126 mm height give the perimeter more architectural presence than a narrow, plain strip, helping a tiled or stone-led room feel properly resolved.

WHERE IT WORKS BEST
Use the skirting around bathrooms, kitchens and other interior schemes where the base of the wall should form a visible part of the design. It works particularly well alongside marble or natural-stone flooring, beneath tiled walls or as a dark green perimeter detail around a contrasting surface.

The marble’s deep green background is crossed by pale natural veining, giving each piece individual movement and character. Its honed finish creates a smooth, low-sheen surface that allows the colour and veining to remain prominent without the stronger reflection of polished stone.

WHY CHOOSE THIS SKIRTING?
This is a considered choice where a standard painted skirting or simple cut tile strip would not provide enough material presence. The profiled shape gives the wall base a more defined finish, while the green marble introduces depth and natural variation.
At 305 mm long, each piece provides approximately 0.305 linear metres of coverage before joints, corners, cuts and wastage are considered. Its repeating length also allows the stone to be arranged around the room so that quieter and more strongly veined pieces can be balanced across the installation.

COORDINATING PRODUCTS
For a connected material palette, pair the skirting with the honed Verde Green Marble Tile Collection. The collection includes metro, square and triangular formats, allowing the same green marble character to be carried across detailed wall layouts and broader tiled surfaces.
Verde Green Marble Mini Mosaic or Verde Marble Madras Mosaic can introduce a smaller scale within a niche, splashback or feature panel. For a lighter contrast, the Calacatta White and Verde Green Rivet Mosaic combines the green stone with white marble while maintaining a coordinated colour connection.

These products are cut separately from natural marble and may come from different batches, so an exact colour or vein match cannot be guaranteed. Product imagery and samples should be treated as guides, and the selected tiles, mosaics and skirting should ideally be compared together before ordering.

ORDERING AND INSTALLATION
Measure the complete perimeter where the skirting will be fitted and include an appropriate allowance for corners, cuts and installation adjustments. Returns, external corners and junctions with door frames or other finishes should be planned with the installer before ordering.
The skirting is listed at 20 mm thick, while the coordinating Verde Green field tiles are 10 mm thick. Its projection, adhesive build-up and relationship with the adjoining wall and floor surfaces should therefore be confirmed as part of the installation plan.
Natural marble varies in colour, tone, veining and movement. These differences are part of the material’s character rather than defects. Arrange the pieces before fixing to achieve a balanced distribution around the room.

Marble requires sealing, with the correct treatment depending on the application and installation system. Use pH-neutral products formulated for natural stone during routine cleaning and avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners. Professional cutting and installation are recommended.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
