The Aegean White Marble Window Mosaic is a 350 × 350mm honed natural marble mosaic designed to create a structured, framed geometric pattern across walls and floors. Its square-and-frame layout gives the surface more architectural definition than a simple square mosaic, while Aegean White’s pale natural character keeps the result light and versatile. Use it for bathroom floors, shower areas, splashbacks, niches and feature sections, then pair with Aegean White field tiles for calmer adjoining surfaces or compare with Basket, Hexagon and Herringbone mosaics where a different pattern rhythm is preferred. Dry laying is recommended before installation.
The Aegean White Marble Window Mosaic is a honed natural marble mosaic designed for customers who want a clearly structured pattern without introducing a strongly contrasting colour palette. Supplied in a 350 × 350 × 10mm format, its repeated square-and-frame arrangement creates the appearance of small framed “windows” across the surface, giving the mosaic a more architectural character than a conventional square grid.
Aegean White keeps the material palette pale and adaptable, allowing the pattern itself to provide the visual interest while the natural marble introduces subtle variation from piece to piece.
What does the Window Mosaic help you achieve?
The main benefit of this product is structured geometric detail.
A standard field tile creates broad, relatively calm areas of stone. The Window Mosaic divides the surface into smaller framed sections, introducing more joints, repetition and visual definition.
Unlike Herringbone, it does not create a strong diagonal direction. Unlike Clover or Scallop Shell, it avoids softer ornamental curves. Instead, the Window pattern feels ordered and architectural, making it particularly useful where the customer wants a decorative mosaic that still retains a clean, balanced geometry.
The honed finish keeps surface reflection comparatively restrained, allowing the square-and-frame design and natural marble variation to remain the main features.
Where does Aegean White Window Mosaic work best?
The Window Mosaic is particularly effective where a smaller tiled area needs more definition than a standard field tile.
In bathrooms, it can work across shower areas, floors, vanity backdrops and niches, subject to confirmation of the complete installation system for the exact application. Used selectively, the framed pattern can distinguish a shower or vanity area while larger Aegean White tiles keep surrounding surfaces calmer.
In kitchens, it can create a considered splashback or selected wall feature, particularly alongside pale cabinetry, warm oak or walnut and quieter worktops.
It can also suit cloakrooms, entrance areas and smaller interior features where a structured natural-marble pattern can give the space more identity without introducing stronger colour.
Why choose this exact Aegean White mosaic?
Choose the Window Mosaic when you want a framed geometric pattern rather than simple repetition or directional movement.
The Aegean White Square Mosaic creates a straightforward grid. The Window Mosaic adds another layer by visually framing each central square, giving the installation greater depth and structure.
Compared with Basket, the pattern feels less woven. Compared with Hexagon, it feels more rectilinear and architectural. Compared with Herringbone, it is more balanced and less directional.
That makes it particularly useful for schemes where the pattern needs to be noticed but should still work comfortably alongside fitted furniture, sanitaryware and other architectural lines.
Because Aegean White is natural marble, individual pieces will vary in tone, veining and movement. Samples should be treated as guides rather than exact matches. Dry laying before fixing is recommended so natural variation, sheet transitions and the repeating Window pattern can be assessed together.
Which Starel Stones products complement it?
The Aegean White Marble Tile Collection is the strongest companion for larger adjoining surfaces. Field tiles can provide calmer floors, shower walls or bath surrounds while allowing the Window Mosaic to remain the more detailed feature.
The Aegean White Marble Square Mosaic is the closest comparison where a simpler geometric grid is preferred. For more decorative structure, Basket and Large Basket mosaics provide a woven-style alternative, while the Honed Hexagon Mosaic introduces a clearer six-sided repeat.
For directional movement, the Aegean White Marble Herringbone Mosaic offers a more dynamic option, while Clover, Flower and Scallop Shell mosaics move towards softer decorative shapes.
For stronger colour contrast, Starel also carries the Aegean White and Bluestone Marble Plaid Mosaic, combining pale Aegean White with cooler blue-grey stone.
These products should be treated as coordinated natural stone rather than guaranteed identical matches.
Before ordering and installation
Dry lay the mosaic before fixing so natural variation, sheet alignment and the framed Window pattern can be reviewed together. Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaning products.
For floors, showers and other wet areas, confirm the complete installation specification, including substrate preparation, waterproofing where required, fixing products, grout and sealing before work begins.
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
