The Arabescato Mix Tumbled Square Marble Mosaic is a 305 × 305mm natural marble mosaic made from 75 × 75mm tumbled squares, combining tones that move from magenta and gold through to blue and green. Its simple grid keeps the layout structured while allowing the changing colours and softened stone edges to provide the character. Use it across bathroom floors, shower areas, splashbacks, niches and feature walls, then balance the mix with quieter Aegean White, Arabescato Amazon or Viola-family field tiles on adjoining surfaces. Suitable for underfloor heating; dry laying and appropriate natural-stone sealing are recommended.

The Arabescato Mix Tumbled Square Marble Mosaic is a natural marble mosaic for customers who want colour variation and stone texture within a simple, easy-to-read geometric layout. Supplied on 305 × 305 × 10mm sheets, it is made from 75 × 75mm square marble pieces with a tumbled finish. The colour mix moves through magenta, gold, blue and green hues, creating a varied surface without relying on a complicated mosaic pattern.

The square grid keeps the overall design ordered, while the changing marble tones and softened edges give the finished surface a more relaxed, layered character.

What does the Tumbled Square Mosaic help you achieve?

The main benefit is expressive colour within restrained geometry.

A more intricate mosaic such as Window, Herringbone or Clover introduces interest through shape. Here, the pattern itself is intentionally simple. The repeated 75 × 75mm squares provide structure, allowing the mixed marble palette to become the main visual feature.

That makes this product particularly useful where you want natural stone to contribute several colours without making the overall surface feel overly ornate.

The tumbled finish adds another layer. Its softer edges and matte, slightly worn character reduce the precision of the square grid, helping the surface feel more organic and less formal than a honed or polished mosaic. Starel positions tumbled marble as a softer, more textural finish with an established stone character.

Where does Arabescato Mix Tumbled Square work best?

The mosaic is particularly suited to bathrooms, kitchens and smaller feature-led interiors.

In bathrooms, it can work across floors, selected shower areas, niches and vanity backdrops. The multicolour palette can give a relatively compact area more personality, while quieter field tiles on surrounding walls prevent the overall scheme from becoming too busy.

In kitchens, the mosaic can create a distinctive splashback or selected wall feature, particularly where cabinetry and worktops are relatively restrained.

It can also work well in cloakrooms, hallways and entrance areas, where a smaller patterned stone surface can carry more colour and material character.

Why choose this exact mixed-marble mosaic?

Choose this product when you want more natural colour variation than a single-stone mosaic, but a simpler pattern than a decorative mixed-marble design.

The Arabescato Mix Window Mosaic combines several marbles within a framed architectural pattern. This Tumbled Square Mosaic takes a quieter geometric approach. The square layout is easier to read, while the tumbled finish and multicolour stone blend provide the variation.

That distinction makes it particularly useful in schemes where the stone colours should provide the feature rather than the mosaic shape itself.

Because this is natural marble, colour distribution, tone and veining will vary from sheet to sheet. Samples should be treated as guides rather than exact matches. Dry laying is particularly important so the stronger magenta, green, blue and gold areas can be balanced across the full installation.

Which Starel Stones products complement it?

The Aegean White Marble Tile Collection is a strong companion where a quieter pale surface is needed around the mosaic. Its lighter stone direction can give the mixed colours more visual breathing space.

For the green side of the palette, Arabescato Amazon Marble Tiles or other green-led Starel marble collections can help continue cooler natural tones onto adjoining walls or floors.

For a rosé or viola direction, Calacatta Viola Arabescato Marble Tiles can connect with the deeper magenta and purple elements within the mix.

The Arabescato Mix Marble Window Mosaic is the most useful pattern comparison for customers who like the multicolour concept but want a more structured, architectural geometry.

Starel also currently places the Tumbled Square Mosaic alongside Aegean White Square, Penny Round and Tumbled Hexagon mosaics, giving customers useful alternatives where the goal is a quieter single-stone surface.

These products should be treated as complementary natural stones rather than guaranteed exact colour or vein matches.

Before ordering and installation

Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaning products. Natural marble should be sealed appropriately for the intended application.

Dry lay the sheets before fixing so colour distribution, sheet transitions and square alignment can be assessed together. For floors, showers and wet areas, confirm the complete installation system, including substrate preparation, waterproofing where required, fixing products, grout and sealing.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
