The Arabescato Gold Dado Moulding is a shaped, honed marble trim measuring 305 × 40 × 15mm, designed to give a tiled wall a clear and considered finishing detail. Its deeper profile creates more architectural definition than a slim pencil liner, making it suitable for completing the top of a partially tiled wall, forming a decorative horizontal border or creating a transition between different tile formats and feature areas. The current product data lists it for interior applications including walls, floors, bathrooms and kitchens.
It works particularly well above half-height bathroom or cloakroom tiling, along kitchen splashbacks and around framed niches or mosaic panels where a plain cut edge would feel unresolved. The honed surface gives the moulding a softer, low-sheen appearance, while the Arabescato Gold material brings warmer stone character into the detail of the installation.
For the closest coordination, pair the moulding with the Arabescato Gold Marble Tile Collection, which is available in several honed square, metro and rectangular formats. The Arabescato Gold Marble Pencil Liner Trim can be used elsewhere in the same scheme where a narrower edge, divider or framing detail is required. The Starel product export also confirms matching Arabescato Gold Marble Skirting and Arabescato Gold Extra Marble Skirting options for the wall-to-floor junction, together with Checkerboard, Clover and Madras mosaics for smaller-scale feature areas.
Choose this exact dado moulding when the design needs a visible marble border with more presence than a pencil trim, but still requires the finishing details to remain part of the same Arabescato Gold material family. This makes it particularly useful for schemes where the trim is intended to contribute to the architecture of the tiled surface rather than simply cover an exposed edge.
As Arabescato Gold is a natural marble, colour, tone, veining and pattern will vary between pieces. Dry lay the moulding with the selected tiles and mosaics before fixing so that this variation can be distributed thoughtfully. The product requires sealing, and ongoing care should use suitable pH-neutral, stone-safe products. Cutting allowance is recommended for corners, cuts and minor fitting adjustments, with final positioning and installation confirmed for the specific project
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
