Calacatta Viola Monet Marble Dado Moulding is a 305 × 40 × 15 mm honed natural marble trim designed to give tiled walls a more resolved architectural finish. Its raised profile turns a simple tile edge or junction into a deliberate decorative feature. Use it to cap half-height tiling, introduce a horizontal border, separate adjoining wall finishes or frame a niche, splashback or feature panel.
WHERE IT WORKS BEST
This dado moulding is particularly suited to bathroom, cloakroom and kitchen wall schemes where the transition between materials should form a visible part of the design. Its 40 mm face and moulded profile provide more presence than a slim pencil liner, while the honed finish keeps the surface smooth and low-sheen.
WHY CHOOSE CALACATTA VIOLA MONET?
Calacatta Viola Monet combines a light marble background with warm magenta, purple and gold veining. Compared with more heavily marked Viola marble selections, the Monet character generally has softer transitions, less dense dark veining and more visible off-white stone between the markings. This gives the moulding enough movement to act as a feature while remaining suitable for a balanced, coordinated interior.
COORDINATING PRODUCTS
Pair the dado moulding with the Calacatta Viola Monet Marble Tile Collection, available in 610 × 305 × 10 mm and 610 × 610 × 10 mm honed formats. The moulding can be used as a raised border within the tiled wall, while the Calacatta Viola Monet Marble Skirting continues the same material character at the base of the room.
Because these are separate natural-marble products and may be cut from different batches, an exact colour or vein match cannot be guaranteed. Samples should be treated as guides, and the selected tiles, mouldings and skirting should ideally be compared and arranged together before installation.
ORDERING AND INSTALLATION
Each 305 mm piece provides approximately 0.305 linear metres of coverage before joints, cuts and wastage. Measure the full intended run and include an appropriate cutting allowance for corners, returns and fitting adjustments.
The dado moulding has a 15 mm profile, while the coordinating field tiles are 10 mm thick. Its projection, adhesive build-up and junction with the adjoining tiles should therefore be checked with the installer before ordering. Professional cutting and installation are recommended.
NATURAL MARBLE AND CARE
Natural marble varies in colour, tone, veining and movement. These differences are part of the stone’s material character rather than defects. Arrange the pieces before fixing so that quieter and more strongly marked sections can be distributed across the wall in a considered way.
Marble requires sealing, with the appropriate treatment depending on the application and installation system. For routine care, use pH-neutral products formulated for natural stone and avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
In-stock tiles and mosaics are shipped from our UK warehouses, with standard delivery typically arriving within one week. An express option of approximately 1–3 working days is available at checkout, subject to postcode and carrier availability.
Main orders are delivered on pallets via trusted third-party kerbside carriers, and you will receive a notification the day before with an 8am–5pm delivery window. If no one is available to receive the delivery and a second attempt is required, re-delivery charges may apply. Where possible, pallets can be left in a safe location if this is clearly noted in the order comments at checkout. Please note that drivers are unable to open sealed pallets and are not permitted to carry goods into your property.
