The Calacatta Amber Diamond Marble Tile Collection is a honed natural marble surface for customers who want a warm interpretation of pale Calacatta stone in a focused larger format. Each tile measures 610 × 305 × 10mm and combines a white marble palette with gold and amber-toned natural movement.

The rectangular format gives each individual tile enough area for the stone’s pattern to remain visible while keeping the number of grout joints lower than a metro or small square layout. Despite the Diamond name, this product is specified as a rectangular field tile rather than a diamond-shaped piece.

What can you achieve with Calacatta Amber Diamond?

This collection is particularly useful where the aim is to create a calmer natural-marble surface with more continuity across the wall or floor.

At 610 × 305mm, each tile has enough scale for variations in tone and veining to become part of the finished design. Fewer joints allow the marble to read more continuously, while the rectangular proportions can also influence the direction of the room.

Installed horizontally, the tiles can emphasise width across a wall or floor. A vertical layout can draw the eye upwards and give a wall a more elongated appearance.

The honed finish keeps surface reflection comparatively restrained, allowing the white background and warmer gold-toned movement to provide the visual interest rather than high gloss.

Where does this collection work best?

Calacatta Amber Diamond is suitable for interior walls and floors, including bathrooms and kitchens, and is compatible with underfloor heating.

In bathrooms, the 610 × 305mm format can work well across shower walls, bath surrounds, vanity backdrops and floors where a broader marble surface with fewer grout lines is preferred.

Its warm white-and-gold colour direction works naturally with oak and walnut vanity units, pale sanitaryware and warm metal finishes. It can also sit comfortably alongside more restrained black or brushed-metal details where greater contrast is wanted.

In kitchens, the tile can be used across floors or selected wall areas and can help connect cabinetry with other marble elements elsewhere in the room.

The format also suits hallways, cloakrooms and living spaces where a larger rectangular natural-stone tile is preferred to a more detailed metro layout.

Why choose this exact Calacatta Amber product?

The main reason to choose the Diamond collection is its focused 610 × 305mm honed format within the broader Calacatta Amber material family.

Starel’s standard Calacatta Amber collection includes smaller metro, square and rectangular options. The Diamond product gives customers another defined selection where the larger rectangular scale already suits the project. The broader Calacatta Amber family is characterised by a pale stone background with warm amber movement.

Because this is natural marble, each tile will vary in tone, veining and movement. Samples provide a useful indication of the general material character but cannot represent every tile within an order. Dry laying before fixing allows the installer to review the variation and arrange the pieces as a balanced composition.

Which Starel Stones products complement Calacatta Amber Diamond?

The Calacatta Amber Marble Tile Collection is the strongest companion for adjoining areas. Its 150 × 75mm, 305 × 75mm, 305 × 305mm and 610 × 305mm honed formats allow the same broader stone direction to continue while changing the scale of the layout.

For smaller decorative areas, Starel carries Calacatta Amber Herringbone, Hexagon, Chevron, Clover, Flower, Ivy, Leaf, Mini and Scallop mosaics. These can introduce more detailed pattern within niches, splashbacks and feature sections without abandoning the Calacatta Amber palette.

Where an even larger visual scale is required, the Calacatta Amber Marble XL Slab Tile 1200 × 600 × 20mm Honed provides a more continuous surface with fewer joints.

These products should be treated as coordinated natural stone rather than guaranteed identical matches.

Before ordering and installation

Calacatta Amber Diamond marble requires sealing. Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral cleaning products, and confirm installation requirements for the intended surface.

Order a sample as a guide and dry lay the tiles before fixing. For floors and wet areas, assess the complete installation system, including substrate preparation, fixing, sealing and final finish.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
