The Arabescato Viola Marble Tile – Batch 3 Collection is a natural marble range for customers who want strong colour, movement and individuality across interior walls and floors. This particular batch is offered in two honed square formats — 200 × 200 × 10mm and 305 × 305 × 10mm — combining a pale marble ground with viola, burgundy and deeper natural veining.
Rather than acting as a quiet background stone, Arabescato Viola is particularly suited to interiors where the marble itself is intended to become an important part of the overall design.
What can you achieve with Arabescato Viola?
The strength of this collection lies in its ability to bring pattern and colour into a room through the material itself. Each tile has natural variation in tone, veining and movement, so the finished surface develops from the relationship between individual pieces rather than from a repeated manufactured print.
The two square formats create slightly different effects. The 200 × 200mm tile introduces more grout lines and a stronger geometric rhythm, making it useful for smaller rooms, feature sections or projects where a more detailed layout is preferred. The 305 × 305mm option reduces the number of joints and gives each tile more space to display its individual marble pattern.
Because both sizes belong to the same Batch 3 collection, they can also be considered together where different areas of a project require different scales.
Where does this collection work best?
Arabescato Viola Batch 3 is suitable for interior walls and floors, including bathrooms and kitchens, and can be used with underfloor heating.
In bathrooms, it can create a distinctive floor, shower wall, bath surround or feature area. Using it across a complete surface produces a more immersive result, while a smaller tiled section allows the viola movement to act as a controlled focal point.
In kitchens, the marble can introduce colour to tiled walls or floors and works particularly well alongside restrained cabinetry, warm wood or simpler stone finishes that allow the Arabescato Viola pattern to remain visible.
The collection can also be used in cloakrooms, hallways and living spaces where natural marble is intended to contribute more than a neutral surface.
Why choose this exact Batch 3 collection?
This product should be chosen when the appearance of this particular Arabescato Viola batch suits the project. Natural marble varies not only from tile to tile but also between quarry selections and batches, so the photography and sample should be treated as a guide to this specific material rather than as a universal representation of every Arabescato Viola product.
The honed finish keeps surface reflection relatively controlled, allowing the colour and veining to provide the visual interest. It also gives both available formats a consistent surface character.
If the project requires adjoining rooms or a larger continuous area, ordering the required quantity together is sensible so the tiles can be reviewed and laid as one material selection.
Which Starel Stones products complement Arabescato Viola Batch 3?
For smaller-scale decorative areas, Starel carries several Arabescato Viola marble mosaics. The Arabescato Viola Clover, Madras, Checkerboard and Savoy Frame mosaics can introduce the same broader colour family within niches, splashbacks or feature sections while changing the pattern and scale of the surface.
The Arabescato Viola and Nero Black Octagon Midi Marble Mosaic offers a stronger contrasting option, combining viola stone with darker marble for areas where more graphic definition is wanted.
For larger uninterrupted stone elements, Starel also carries Arabescato Viola marble slabs in honed and polished finishes. These can be individually selected for suitable vanity tops, splashbacks, fireplaces, feature panels, table tops and other bespoke pieces through Starel Atelier and fabrication support.
Tiles, mosaics and slabs should be considered coordinated rather than guaranteed identical, particularly where they come from different batches or use different finishes.
Before ordering and installation
Arabescato Viola marble requires sealing. Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral cleaning products, and confirm the installation requirements for the selected application.
Order a sample as a guide and dry lay the tiles before fixing. This allows the installer to review the natural variation and distribute stronger and quieter pieces across the surface for a more considered final result.
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
