The Rosso Marble Tile Collection is a natural marble range for customers who want warmth, colour and visible stone character across interior walls and floors. Its red palette carries natural tonal variation, giving the finished surface greater depth than a uniform manufactured red tile.

The collection includes a 305 × 75 × 10mm honed metro tile, 305 × 305 × 10mm squares in both honed and tumbled finishes, and a honed triangular format. This choice allows the same Rosso material direction to move from straightforward field tiling into more decorative and geometric layouts.

What can you achieve with Rosso marble tiles?

Rosso is particularly useful when the stone itself needs to provide colour rather than simply act as a neutral background.

The 305 × 75mm honed metro format creates a strong linear rhythm and more visible grout lines, making it well suited to splashbacks, shower walls, niches and smaller feature areas.

The 305 × 305mm honed square produces a more regular grid and allows the natural colour variation to read clearly across each tile. The tumbled square changes the character again: its softer edges and more relaxed surface make it useful where a less formal, more textural stone finish is preferred.

The triangular option offers a more graphic route, allowing Rosso to be used within geometric layouts or combined with contrasting marble colours.

Where does Rosso work best?

The collection is suitable for interior walls and floors, including bathrooms and kitchens, and is compatible with underfloor heating.

In bathrooms, Rosso can be used across floors, shower walls, bath surrounds, vanity backdrops or feature sections. Its warm red colouring works particularly well where the stone is intended to become a focal material rather than disappear into the background.

In kitchens, it can introduce natural colour across floors or tiled wall areas and can sit comfortably alongside warm oak, walnut, pale cabinetry and lighter stone surfaces.

Rosso can also work effectively in cloakrooms, hallways and entrance spaces where a smaller area can carry stronger material character. A complete red marble floor creates a more immersive result, while a smaller feature section provides a controlled way to introduce the colour.

Why choose this exact marble tile collection?

The main strength of Rosso is the combination of expressive colour and format flexibility.

Rather than offering only one field tile, the collection allows you to move between metro, square, tumbled and geometric formats while retaining the same broader stone direction. That makes it possible to vary the rhythm of adjoining surfaces without introducing an unrelated material.

The choice of honed and tumbled finishes is another practical distinction. Honed Rosso has a smoother, more restrained appearance, while the tumbled square offers softer edges and a more relaxed character.

Because Rosso is natural marble, colour, tone, veining and movement will vary between individual pieces. Samples are useful for understanding the general character but cannot represent every tile within an order. Dry laying before fixing allows the installer to distribute stronger and quieter pieces across the finished surface in a considered way.

Which Starel Stones products complement Rosso?

For a same-material decorative surface, the Rosso Marble Square Mosaic introduces smaller 30 × 30mm honed pieces while maintaining the red stone palette. The Rosso Marble Chopped Mosaic offers a more irregular, tumbled interpretation for feature sections, niches or splashbacks.

The Rosso Mini Duo Marble Herringbone Mosaic provides a directional patterned option where a finer-scale surface is preferred.

For contrast, Starel already combines Rosso with pale marble. The Calacatta & Rosso Marble Duo Herringbone Mosaic connects red and white stone within one pattern, while the Rosso & White Checkerboard Mosaic provides a more graphic black-free checkerboard direction.

Aegean White is another particularly useful companion. Starel specifically presents Rosso honed squares with Aegean White squares in a 1:1 checkerboard layout, and the tumbled versions can also be paired where a softer finish is wanted.

These products should be treated as coordinated natural stones rather than guaranteed identical matches.

Before ordering and installation

Rosso marble requires sealing. Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral cleaning products, and confirm installation requirements for the selected format and application.

Order a sample as a guide and dry lay the tiles before fixing. For floors and wet areas, consider the complete installation system, including substrate preparation, sealing and final finish.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
