The Diana Royale Marble Tile Collection is a honed natural marble range for customers who want warmth and natural stone character without highly contrasting veining or strong colour. Its beige and cream-toned palette has a softer, quieter appearance than many white or dark marbles, making it particularly useful where the stone needs to support the wider interior rather than become its most dominant feature.
The collection is available in four 10mm formats — 150 × 75mm, 305 × 75mm, 305 × 305mm and 410 × 305mm — allowing the same marble to move from detailed tiled sections to broader walls and floors.
What can you achieve with Diana Royale marble tiles?
The choice of formats gives you useful control over the visual rhythm of the surface.
The 150 × 75mm and 305 × 75mm metro formats introduce more grout lines and a stronger linear pattern. They work particularly well for splashbacks, shower walls, niches and smaller feature areas where the layout itself should remain visible.
The 305 × 305mm square creates a more balanced grid, while the larger 410 × 305mm rectangular tile reduces the number of joints and gives each piece more space to show its natural tonal variation.
Using different formats across adjoining surfaces can also help distinguish zones while maintaining one connected marble palette.
Where does Diana Royale work best?
The collection is suitable for interior walls and floors, including bathrooms and kitchens, and is compatible with underfloor heating.
In bathrooms, Diana Royale can be used across floors, shower walls, bath surrounds and vanity areas. Its warm neutral colouring works naturally alongside oak and walnut vanity units, white sanitaryware and soft metal finishes, making it particularly suited to schemes where the overall material palette should feel calm and balanced.
In kitchens, the tiles can create a warm natural-stone floor or selected wall surface and can sit comfortably alongside painted cabinetry, wood furniture and lighter worktops.
Diana Royale can also work effectively in hallways, cloakrooms and living spaces where a quieter beige marble is preferred to a more strongly patterned stone.
Why choose this exact marble tile collection?
Diana Royale is a strong choice when the project calls for natural marble with warmth, flexibility and relatively restrained movement.
Its neutral beige direction makes it easier to use across larger areas without the stone overpowering furniture or other finishes. The honed surface keeps reflection comparatively low, allowing the natural tone and subtle movement of the marble to remain visible without relying on high gloss.
The four available sizes are another practical advantage. A smaller format can be used where more detail is wanted, while the larger rectangle creates a calmer surface with fewer joints.
Because Diana Royale is natural marble, colour, veining and tone will vary between pieces. Samples provide a useful indication of the general material but cannot represent every tile within an order. Dry laying before fixing allows stronger and quieter pieces to be balanced across the finished installation.
Which Starel Stones products complement Diana Royale?
For smaller-scale pattern, the Diana Royale Herringbone Mosaic provides a natural same-material companion. Its honed format can be used within niches, splashbacks, shower areas or feature sections where a more decorative surface is wanted.
For finishing details, the Diana Royale Marble Pencil Trim can create a slim edge or dividing line, while the Diana Royale Marble Dado Moulding gives more visual weight to a border or transition. Diana Royale Marble Skirting can continue the material through to the wall-to-floor junction.
Where greater scale is required, the Diana Royale Marble XL Slab Tile 1200 × 600 × 20mm Polished provides a more continuous stone surface with fewer joints. Full Diana Royale marble slabs can also extend the same material direction into suitable vanity tops, splashbacks, fireplaces, worktops, table tops and other bespoke pieces through Starel Atelier.
These products should be treated as coordinated natural stone rather than guaranteed identical matches, particularly where honed and polished finishes are combined.
Before ordering and installation
Diana Royale marble requires sealing. Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral cleaning products, and confirm installation requirements for the selected format and application.
Order a sample as a guide and dry lay the tiles before fixing. For floors and wet areas, consider the complete installation system, including substrate preparation, fixing, sealing and the intended use of the finished surface.
Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.
Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:
Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.
We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.
To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.
