The Botticino Marble Tile Collection is a natural marble surface for customers who want warmth and material character without strong colour contrast or highly dramatic veining. Its beige palette gives the stone a softer, more neutral appearance, making it particularly useful in interiors where the marble needs to support the wider scheme rather than dominate it.

The collection is currently offered in a 610 × 305 × 10mm honed format. This larger rectangular size gives each piece enough surface area to show the marble’s natural tonal movement while reducing the number of grout lines compared with smaller metro or square tiles.

What can you achieve with Botticino marble tiles?

Botticino is well suited to projects where the goal is to create a calm, warm natural-stone backdrop across walls or floors.

The 610 × 305mm format creates a relatively broad and orderly layout. Used horizontally, it can emphasise the length of a wall or floor, while a vertical layout can make the surface feel more elongated. The larger format also allows the marble’s subtle variation to read more continuously across the installation.

Because Botticino has a warm beige colour direction, it works particularly well where the room includes oak, walnut, cream finishes, soft neutrals or warmer metal details. It can also act as a quieter counterpoint to more expressive marble used elsewhere in the interior.

Where does Botticino work best?

The collection is suitable for interior walls and floors, including bathrooms and kitchens, and is compatible with underfloor heating.

In bathrooms, Botticino can be used across floors, shower walls, bath surrounds or larger tiled sections where a warm natural-stone surface is preferred to a cooler white or grey marble. Its understated palette can work especially well alongside wood vanity units, pale sanitaryware and simple metal fittings.

In kitchens, it can be used across floors or wall areas and can help connect warm cabinetry with stone worktops or furniture. The larger rectangular format also makes it suitable for hallways, cloakrooms and living spaces where a calmer tiled surface with fewer joints is wanted.

Why choose this exact marble tile collection?

The main reason to choose Botticino is its balance of warmth, subtle movement and practical scale.

Unlike more strongly patterned marbles, Botticino does not rely on dramatic veining to make an impact. Its character comes from natural tonal variation and a warm beige base, which makes it easier to use across larger areas without overwhelming the room.

The honed finish keeps surface reflection relatively controlled and gives the marble a softer visual character than a polished surface.

Because Botticino is natural stone, colour, tone and veining will vary between individual tiles. Samples are useful for understanding the general appearance, but they cannot represent every piece within an order. Dry laying before fixing allows the installer to review the variation and distribute stronger and quieter tiles across the surface in a considered way.

Which Starel Stones products complement Botticino?

The Botticino Marble Pencil Liner Trim is the most direct finishing piece. Its slim honed profile can be used to complete exposed tile edges, frame a niche or introduce a narrow dividing line within a tiled wall.

For a more substantial decorative border, the Botticino Marble Dado Moulding can create a stronger horizontal transition or framed wall detail. Where smaller-scale pattern is required, the Botticino Marble Leaf Mosaic provides a decorative option that can work within niches, splashbacks or feature sections.

For projects that extend beyond standard tiling, Starel also carries Botticino Beige Honed Marble Slabs. These can be considered for suitable vanity tops, splashbacks, fireplaces, furniture pieces or other bespoke stone elements through Starel Atelier.

Botticino can also coordinate with Belgravia or White Emperador where a related warm neutral palette is preferred, but these should be treated as complementary stones rather than exact matches.

Before ordering and installation

Botticino marble requires sealing. Use stone-compatible adhesive, grout and pH-neutral cleaning products, and confirm the installation requirements for the exact application.

Order a sample as a guide and dry lay the tiles before fixing. For wet areas and floors, the complete installation system should be assessed for the intended use before work begins.

Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.

All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.

Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty.

Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can:

  • Visualise the overall layout
  • Balance colour and pattern variations
  • Ensure the best placement of each tile

Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.

Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability.

We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout.

To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years, depending on usage and wear.

We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
